Holiday Events Near Your New Home in Frisco

The holidays are upon us once again. It’s a wonderful time of year to celebrate with family and friends. If you’re looking for something fun and festive to do, here are a few holiday events taking place near your new home in Frisco:

Christmas in the Square Holiday Lights: The holiday season kicks off in grand style with this 8th annual event taking place nightly from Nov. 29 – Jan. 4. The City of Frisco partners with Frisco Square to present the largest choreographed holiday lights and music display in North Texas. Christmas in the Square also features an outdoor ice skating rink, Christmas tree lot, and carriage rides.

Breakfast with Santa: Parents and children are invited to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet with Santa, Frosty and Rudolph at the Frisco Senior Center on Saturday, Dec. 7. Kids can engage in holiday activities and share their Christmas wish lists with the jolly old elf himself!  Tickets are $12 per person, $15 per person (non-resident) and can be purchased here: www.friscofun.org/mms/Pages/BreakfastwithSanta.aspx

23rd Annual Merry Main Street: This free family holiday event takes place Saturday, Dec. 7, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Simpson Plaza at City Hall. Parents and children can shop for gifts and festive holiday décor, while enjoying music, food and drinks. Holiday activities include the lighting of the City of Frisco Christmas tree, horse-drawn carriage rides, a model railroad train display, snowflake light show and a visit by Santa Claus.

Holiday Lights at Frisco Fire Safety Town: The entire family is sure to enjoy this holiday event that takes place Dec. 13 & 14 and Dec. 20 & 21 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Young and old alike will marvel at the miniature buildings decorated with hundreds of lights for the holiday season. Local school groups will perform holiday music. There will also be seasonal crafts, face painting, and more.

Frosty 5K & Merry Mile: Get your jingle bells on and step out in style for this annual holiday race, on Saturday, Dec. 14. Register online or at Simpson Plaza on race day. 5K awards will be presented to the Best Overall and Masters Male/Female, Master’s Award for Male and Female 40 and over, as well as the top three male/female age group finishers.  Team awards will be presented to the Largest Team, Best T-shirt/Costume, Most Creative Team and Best Team Spirit.
