When you have a full 1GB connection to the internet, you can download 25 songs in one second, download a TV show in 3 seconds, and download an HD movie in about 36 seconds. Of course, even with the new GigaPower, your internet speed will vary based on the same factors as other connections. So, your download times will still be slower during peak usage times. But AT&T’s new service is likely to put competitive pressure on other providers to improve their internet speed, lower prices, or both.
