New PGA Headquarters in Frisco
Golf fans are eagerly anticipating the opening of the new PGA headquarters next to the Hollyhock community of homes in Frisco TX. Dubbed “The Home of Modern Golf,” the headquarters is set to open in June 2022.
Plans for the property include two championship golf courses plus a short course. The PGA’s goal is to bring major tournaments to North Texas once again. The last one was the 1963 PGA Championship at the Dallas Athletic Club.
The 660-acre development will also have a 127,000 square foot conference center, a 500-room hotel, a retail district and miles of walking trails. There will also be a dedicated area for training students who are members of Frisco ISD golf teams. The district’s 10 high schools have a total of about 200 students competing in golf.
With the new project, Frisco is set to become the center of the American golf world. The development will be a valuable community asset as well as a nationally prominent attraction. It will preserve local green space and bring in revenue for the region.
The greater Frisco area is already a golfer’s paradise with numerous public courses such as The Trails of Frisco Golf Club, Frisco Lakes Golf Club and Stonebriar Country Club.
