Home Buying in 2024: What to Expect
The market for new homes in Frisco TX remains strong as we head into the new year. Predictions of lower interest rates are keeping buyers poised to move into new homes in 2024.
Mortgage interest rates reached their peak for 2023 near the end of October. By mid-December, the average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage fell below 7%. The rate has since decreased for 8 weeks in a row.
Lower interest rates are likely to result in more movement in the market. More people will be willing to sell their existing homes and purchase new ones if rates continue to decline. In fact, the number of building permits issued for new single-family homes has increased for ten months, a good sign that people are eager to purchase new homes this year.
Since many people didn’t want to sell their homes until the rates came down, demand is still high in the Frisco real estate market. Landon is ready to meet that demand with brand new inventory homes ready for purchase.
