Gentle Creek Country Club has an 18-hole championship course with lake views and gentle hills. For more options, PGA of America world headquarters in nearby Frisco is only 15 minutes from Prosper. It has 2 championship courses as well as a par 3 course and a putting course.
Go to the park
Prosper has numerous well-maintained parks, with more planned or under construction now. Frontier Park is almost 80 acres and features sports fields, picnic areas, walking and biking trails, a playground and splash pad. Pecan Grove is a smaller park with a playground, creek and pond. Pickleball, basketball, soccer and cricket facilities are available at Lakewood Park.
Spend a day at the lake
The 27-acre Town Lake offers catch-and-release fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Frontier Park has a catch-and-release pond where a fishing derby is held in February.
Want something bigger? The 29,000-acre Lewisville Lake is a close destination for water sports, boating and premier bass fishing just 30 minutes from Prosper.
Visit the farmers market
Find fresh produce and artisan products at the Gates of Prosper Farmers Market. The markets are held the second Saturday of each month from March through October. Food trucks and live music add to the festive atmosphere.
Make a craft
Prosper is home to fun studios where you can express your artistic side. Walk in or make a reservation at Pinspiration Prosper for make-and-take projects from splatter painting and paper art to stuffed animals and woodcrafts. Speckled Turtle Pottery Studio offers supplies, equipment and classes to make pottery or paint a project.
Attend a community festival
Every October, the Celebrate Prosper festival fills Frontier Park with live music, kids’ activities, community exhibits, food trucks and much more. Then in December, Town Hall lights up with the Prosper Christmas Festival. It features a tree lighting, ice skating, kid zones, a snow machine and other holiday fun.
Dine at local restaurants
Prosper is home to a tasty variety of dining options. Enjoy Indian food at Nag’s Kitchen, Korean flavors at Goyaki Korean Kitchen, or head to RAASA for a fusion of Latin, Mexican and American cuisines.
