The district has 12 elementary schools, 4 middle schools and 3 high schools. A $52 million Prosper ISD athletic center opened in 2019. Called the Children’s Health Stadium, it contains a football stadium, pool facilities and meeting areas.

A variety of secular and faith-based private schools add more options for education in the greater Prosper area. Prestonwood Christian Academy North is located right in Prosper. It accepts students from Pre-K through 10^th grade. Students in 11^th and 12^th grade attend Prestonwood’s nearby campus in Plano.

Higher Education

Compared to the United States as a whole, Prosper has a well-educated population. 98% of Prosper residents have a high school diploma. 27% have taken some college courses or have an associate’s degree. 58% have a bachelor’s degree or higher, which is well above the national average of 38%.

Collin College has a campus 25 minutes from Prosper. The college offers more than 100 degrees or certificates, including four-year degrees in nursing and cybersecurity. The University of North Texas main campus is just over 45 minutes to the west in Denton.
