Wet Zone Waterpark Open in Rowlett TX

The upcoming Lake Park community of new homes in Rowlett TX is ideal for water-loving families. The community is next to Lake Ray Hubbard and just a few minutes from the Wet Zone Waterpark. The park is now open for the summer.

Wet Zone is a city-owned waterpark with fun in and out of the water for the whole family. It features a large main pool, a smaller pool and spray area, a lap pool, 4 water slides and a lazy river. Out of the water, families can enjoy the volleyball court, shaded seating areas and concession stand.

The park also hosts swimming classes, water fitness classes, private lessons and pavilion rentals as well as special events throughout the season. Dads get in free on Father’s Day with the purchase of a child’s ticket. Dads and kids can participate in games, contests and activities to celebrate the day.

Each year the park offers BOGO specials on a few selected days. Buy an adult ticket and get a child’s ticket free.

At the end of the season, the park opens for dogs to enjoy the annual Pooch Plunge. This year the event will be held August 6 from noon-3 pm. Proceeds benefit local animal rescue organizations. Tickets must be purchased online. See the Wet Zone website for details.
