October also features the LoneStar Storytelling Festival, a two-day family event with storytellers, concerts, puppet shows, folks arts and crafts. History buffs will enjoy Shawnee Trail Cowboy Day at the Frisco Heritage Museum. Visitors can take a stagecoach ride, witness authentic gun fights performed by the Legends of Texas and enjoy armadillo races, a petting zoo and pony rides. After Thanksgiving, residents and visitors alike flock to Christmas in the Square to enjoy holiday lights, music, carriage rides and a model train display.
